Each butterfly house is cut, sanded, and painted by hand. They come with a roof that can open. This allows for you to clean out the house if needed, add more sticks, and check out the tenants. The sticks are not included to allow you to add native sticks from your area. Hopefully, this will help attract the butterflies in your area. The houses also come with a hook on the back to hang them up with. After doing some research, I found that butterflies were attracted to red, yellow, pink, orange, and purple. So, I offer the houses to be painted in yellow, pink, and purple. The grey and turquoise pictured here are options as well. The house and roof can be painted different colors. The house is finished off with a vinyl decal on the roof. There are three options for the decals that can also be customized if you would like. These are fun bright additions to any butterfly garden or flowerbed. Stop by my shop to order your custom made butterfly house today. Also these decals can be bought separately, to add to your own butterfly house, to make a butterfly garden sign, or just a butterfly themed home decor piece.

![]() I visited my sister in college at her condo. It is a nice little community, but I had a hard time finding her place. When I finally found her number on the side of the building I was faced with a problem- there where two doors?! There were no numbers on either door, nor any decor that would clue me in on which was hers. I was about to call her when I remembered my brother telling me hers was the one straight ahead. At first I thought he was referring to the building itself as you entered the complex- reason it took so long to find her building; but I realized he had been referring to her door. Well, after that headache I decided to fix it with vinyl! So, my sister received a vinyl decal with her address numbers to apply to her door. No one else would have a problem finding her place. My sister didn't argue and loves the addition to her place. Do you have a hard to find home? Or just want the delivery guy to know they found the right house? Then let me create your address numbers for your home. I am forever writing lists. To Do Lists, Don't Forget Lists, Grocery Lists, Packing Lists, Kids' Clothes Lists, and the list goes on. :)
Dry erase boards are nice to use because you aren't using a ton of paper and they keep you from losing that piece of paper you wrote your list on. I like things being my way and when I can't find what I want in a store- I decide to do it myself. Here I bought a coral colored inexpensive dry erase board from Target. It came with magnetic strips on the back and a dry erase marker. Then I added a chevron boarder with the word "Reminders" in mint. The two colors look great together. Place on a fridge and now I can keep up with little daily reminders. This is also a great idea for a classroom too. When I taught I kept a dry erase board outside my classroom. It allowed me to write a note to those who stop by my classroom when I was away. It served as a reminder for my students on homework or supplies they needed for class that day. "Life is short, Let's Walk." Here is a fun reminder from your furry friend that you need to stop and get some fresh air and exercise. Here is how I created the dog leash hook you see above. I used a scrap piece of wood left over from another project (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, is my motto.) I sanded it and stained it Kona (dark color of wood stain). Applied the vinyl decal to one side leaving room for my hook. Then I added a saw-tooth picture hanger to the back so it can be hung on the wall. At the end I added the double hook to hold the dog leash. It is a cute and easy to make storage idea. You can get the same basic look with just a decal and a hook applied to a bare wall. Don't want it on the walls, but you have a container- the vinyl decal will work there too. As always so many ideas!! Here are a few of the decal ideas I have- Check out my Etsy shop for the pre-made board or for the vinyl decals. I also do custom orders so let me know how I can help you.
At our house we don't do "scary" Halloween, we do fun and cute Halloween. We have large rope spiderwebs that cover the front of our house and jack-o-lanterns that keep watch on our porch. Then there are the ghosts. The ghosts are my pet project. They were one of the first things I created when I first got my vinyl cutter. Then I had five little ones and so my husband made the wooden ghosts and drew the faces for me. My part was painting and taking those faces and turning them into vinyl faces. It was fun and loved my little ghosts sitting on our porch during the Halloween season. This year I had one more little ghost, so my husband cut out new ghosts, I painted, and used these new faces. The faces are also an easy addition to an up-cycled jar to make a cute Halloween candy jar. You can get your kids involved with creating these little faces. The decals will stick to any smooth surface and applying them are pretty easy.
Can you think of your own uses for these faces? Head over to my shop to purchase a sheet of 6 faces. Or send me a message and I'll custom make you some ghosts to greet your Trick-or-Treaters.
I have enjoyed using vinyl decals to organize my home. These dotted labels are great way to organize and dress up your storage bins.
In college I interned at the city's recycling office. Since then I always try to recycle. Here are a few decals to label your containers and get the word out that you recycle. In my house I have a small container to put the recyclables into before it is taken to the garage and put into the different bins. Here is what our small bin looks like with the we recycle decal.
School will be starting soon. If you are a teacher, mom, or just want to use this time to get organized, calendars can help. Create your own calendar on a picture frame, white board, or what ever else you can think of. Here are some different calendar designs for you to use.
As always we can add to or change up a design any way you would like. Just let me know!
Another way to keep your family organized is a chalkboard menu. This is a picture of the final product of a chalkboard menu I created for a family member. I bought a metal chalkboard from Hobby Lobby and added the decal. The decal can be added to anything to get the look you want. Here are a few ideas:
