![]() I visited my sister in college at her condo. It is a nice little community, but I had a hard time finding her place. When I finally found her number on the side of the building I was faced with a problem- there where two doors?! There were no numbers on either door, nor any decor that would clue me in on which was hers. I was about to call her when I remembered my brother telling me hers was the one straight ahead. At first I thought he was referring to the building itself as you entered the complex- reason it took so long to find her building; but I realized he had been referring to her door. Well, after that headache I decided to fix it with vinyl! So, my sister received a vinyl decal with her address numbers to apply to her door. No one else would have a problem finding her place. My sister didn't argue and loves the addition to her place. Do you have a hard to find home? Or just want the delivery guy to know they found the right house? Then let me create your address numbers for your home.

During Christmas we were trying to think of ideas for teacher gifts. I kept seeing some really good quotes online that I thought if I was still teaching I would put this in my classroom. Light bulb! So, after help from the kiddos to narrow down the choices of quotes we came up with these. It helped that one of the schools' motto for the year is "Don't Forget to be Awesome," so we had to have a few quotes with awesome in there. Using small canvases from Hobby Lobby we applied the vinyl decals. I also bought little paint easels for the teachers to display their canvas quotes. In the end the gifts looked like this. I have started putting these quotes in my Etsy shop. Visit my shop today or send me a message if you would like one of these quotes.
I am forever writing lists. To Do Lists, Don't Forget Lists, Grocery Lists, Packing Lists, Kids' Clothes Lists, and the list goes on. :)
Dry erase boards are nice to use because you aren't using a ton of paper and they keep you from losing that piece of paper you wrote your list on. I like things being my way and when I can't find what I want in a store- I decide to do it myself. Here I bought a coral colored inexpensive dry erase board from Target. It came with magnetic strips on the back and a dry erase marker. Then I added a chevron boarder with the word "Reminders" in mint. The two colors look great together. Place on a fridge and now I can keep up with little daily reminders. This is also a great idea for a classroom too. When I taught I kept a dry erase board outside my classroom. It allowed me to write a note to those who stop by my classroom when I was away. It served as a reminder for my students on homework or supplies they needed for class that day. |
