Wooden signs are an easy way to decorate for the different seasons. All you need is some wood, stain or paint, and a vinyl decal. You can easily make a sign on your own. These are a few of the ones I have made for the Christmas and Winter season. The "Let is snow" sign could be enjoyed after Christmas, since the snow will still be around.
I have made these if you would rather just buy one. No judging here! Sometimes we just don't have the time for all the holiday projects we would like to make. Been there, do that often!! See my Etsy shop for the vinyl decals and pre-made items. Or just send me a message and together we can create your own wood sign!

"Life is short, Let's Walk." Here is a fun reminder from your furry friend that you need to stop and get some fresh air and exercise. Here is how I created the dog leash hook you see above. I used a scrap piece of wood left over from another project (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, is my motto.) I sanded it and stained it Kona (dark color of wood stain). Applied the vinyl decal to one side leaving room for my hook. Then I added a saw-tooth picture hanger to the back so it can be hung on the wall. At the end I added the double hook to hold the dog leash. It is a cute and easy to make storage idea. You can get the same basic look with just a decal and a hook applied to a bare wall. Don't want it on the walls, but you have a container- the vinyl decal will work there too. As always so many ideas!! Here are a few of the decal ideas I have- Check out my Etsy shop for the pre-made board or for the vinyl decals. I also do custom orders so let me know how I can help you.
At our house we don't do "scary" Halloween, we do fun and cute Halloween. We have large rope spiderwebs that cover the front of our house and jack-o-lanterns that keep watch on our porch. Then there are the ghosts. The ghosts are my pet project. They were one of the first things I created when I first got my vinyl cutter. Then I had five little ones and so my husband made the wooden ghosts and drew the faces for me. My part was painting and taking those faces and turning them into vinyl faces. It was fun and loved my little ghosts sitting on our porch during the Halloween season. This year I had one more little ghost, so my husband cut out new ghosts, I painted, and used these new faces. The faces are also an easy addition to an up-cycled jar to make a cute Halloween candy jar. You can get your kids involved with creating these little faces. The decals will stick to any smooth surface and applying them are pretty easy.
Can you think of your own uses for these faces? Head over to my shop to purchase a sheet of 6 faces. Or send me a message and I'll custom make you some ghosts to greet your Trick-or-Treaters. It is officially time to break out the Halloween Decor!! What ever your Halloween "look" may be this Happy Halloween sign would fit. The bats and Happy Halloween are black vinyl applied to a white painted board. It is sanded around the edges to give that rustic/vintage look. This one is 1.5in long x 4in high.
